Plans are in place to run a jazz workshop for "new jazz" directors. Andy Dunham has been working to get this organized and had a tentative schedule for discussion. Time was spent collecting names of possible clinicians.

Topics for the day will include:

The committee has given two possible dates to the state e-board. The state e-board will look at the dates in context of the entire state calendar and select which date will work best. The intention is to have the workshop at the beginning of the school year. The hope of the committee is that CEU credits will be available for this workshop.

The committee was asked to come up with questions for a survey on trimesters. The idea of the survey is to collect factual information from directors currently teaching at schools that are on the trimester system. The questions will be turned over to the state e-board who will determine how the survey will be given to the membership.
